Hyderabad blends four centuries of Qutb Shahi and Nizami heritage with one of India's fastest-growing technology hubs. From Charminar and Golconda to HITEC City and the Outer Ring Road, it is a city that rewards exploration. Savari Holidays provides taxis in Hyderabad for local sightseeing, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport transfers and, in particular, long-distance outstation journeys to Bangalore, Mysore and Tirupati. These are big drives across the Deccan, and we plan them with experienced drivers, well-chosen breaks and vehicles comfortable enough for a full day on the road.
Hyderabad's sights are split between the old city south of the Musi river and the newer parts to the north and west. Traffic can be heavy, distances are large, and parking near the old city monuments is limited. A cab with a driver who knows the lanes around Charminar and the faster routes across town makes a sightseeing day far less stressful.
Ramoji Film City, on the Vijayawada highway, is an all-day outing for families. The Chilkur Balaji temple, popular with visa applicants, lies on the city's western edge.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is at Shamshabad, south of the city, and is linked by the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway and the Outer Ring Road. We provide pickups and drops for all flights. Hyderabad has several major railway stations: Secunderabad, Hyderabad Deccan at Nampally, Kacheguda, Lingampally and the newer Cherlapally terminal. Check your ticket, as long-distance trains are spread across them.
The roughly 570 km journey follows NH 44 south via Jadcherla, Kurnool, Anantapur and Penukonda. It is a fast highway for most of the way and usually takes nine to ten hours of driving, plus breaks. A detour to Lepakshi, near the Karnataka border, breaks the last stretch nicely. Drops to Kempegowda International Airport, on the north side of Bengaluru, are convenient on this route.
Mysore adds roughly another three hours beyond Bengaluru via the Mysuru Expressway, making this a very long day. Many travellers split the trip with an overnight stop in Bengaluru or plan an early start so the final stretch is not driven late.
Pilgrims usually travel via Kurnool and Kadapa, a drive of about ten hours. With darshan slots booked for specific times, we plan departures with a generous buffer and can arrange an overnight drive if needed.
We pick up from all parts of the city, including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, HITEC City, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Ameerpet, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Uppal and the old city.
On a nine or ten-hour drive, space matters. An Innova or Innova Crysta is the most popular choice for families and anyone who wants to rest along the way. A Swift Dzire or Toyota Etios suits one or two passengers travelling light. Groups relocating together, pilgrim parties and corporate teams can book a Tempo Traveller, Force Urbania or mini bus.
Hyderabad's summers, from April to early June, are very hot, and long drives across the Deccan are best started early in the morning. The monsoon, from June to September, brings moderate rain. October to February is the most comfortable time for both sightseeing and road trips, with mild days and cool evenings.
