Mysore to Bangalore Airport Taxi

Kempegowda International Airport sits at Devanahalli, north of Bangalore, so a trip from Mysore is longer than most people expect: roughly 180 km and three and a half to four and a half hours depending on the time of day. Our Mysore to Bangalore Airport taxi is planned around your flight, not just your pickup time. Tell us the flight number and whether it is domestic or international, and our coordinator suggests a reporting time with a sensible buffer. Cars are chosen with luggage in mind, and drivers know the bypass routes that keep you away from the worst of the city traffic.

One-way fares include fuel and driver allowance (minimum 130 km). Round-trip fares are for the same car returning to Mysore, billed at the round-trip rate with a daily minimum. Tolls, parking and interstate permits are extra where they apply. Tempo Travellers, Urbania and mini buses are available for round trips.

How the airport run actually works

The first half is easy: the Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway takes you from Mysore to the outskirts of Bangalore in about two and a half hours. The second half, getting from the south-west edge of the city to the airport in the north, is where time is won or lost. Drivers usually choose between two options:

  • The bypass: NICE Road around the western side of the city, joining Tumakuru Road and then cutting across towards the airport road. It is longer in kilometres but avoids the city centre.
  • The city route: through Mysore Road, the inner areas and the Hebbal flyover onto Ballari Road (NH 44). Shorter on paper, but unpredictable at peak hours.

Your driver decides on the day using live traffic. Neither route has forest restrictions, so the airport run is available at any hour.

When should you leave Mysore?

Airlines generally ask passengers to be at the terminal around two hours before domestic departures and three hours before international ones. Add the drive and a buffer for traffic, and a practical rule from our drivers looks like this:

  • Early morning domestic flights (before 9 am): leave Mysore around five and a half hours before departure. Roads are empty at night, but you do not want to cut it close.
  • Midday and afternoon flights: six hours before departure, because you will meet Bangalore's office traffic.
  • International flights: seven hours before departure is comfortable, especially with checked bags.

Late evening and night departures are the easiest to plan, because the city legs move faster after 9 pm.

Luggage and vehicle choice

Airport trips are where people most often underestimate space. A Swift Dzire or Etios holds two large check-in suitcases plus cabin bags comfortably. If you are a family of four with a suitcase each, an Ertiga or Innova is the better choice. For students heading abroad with large bags, or families seeing someone off, the Innova Crysta gives room for both passengers and luggage. Groups going together for a pilgrimage or a tour can book a tempo traveller.

Keep passports, tickets and anything you need at check-in in a cabin bag inside the car rather than in the boot, so you are not unpacking at the kerb. If you are carrying fragile items, sports equipment or a wheelchair, mention it while booking so the right vehicle is sent.

Pickup from anywhere in Mysore and nearby towns

We pick up from homes, hotels and hostels across Mysore city, including Gokulam, Saraswathipuram, JP Nagar, Hootagalli and the Infosys campus area, as well as from Nanjangud, Srirangapatna and Mandya on request. If you are staying at a resort near Kabini or in Coorg and flying out of Bangalore, ask for a quote from your actual location rather than from Mysore city.

Arriving in Bangalore and coming to Mysore instead?

We handle the reverse trip as well. For pickups at the airport, the driver tracks your flight and waits at the arrivals pick-up area. Waiting time is planned around the time it usually takes to clear baggage and, for international arrivals, immigration and customs.

Tolls, parking and what is extra

The fare you are quoted includes fuel and the driver's allowance. The expressway tolls and the airport's own entry and parking charges are usually extra at actuals. Stops on the way, such as dropping a relative in Bangalore first, should be added at the time of booking.

Why plan this trip with us

A missed flight costs far more than the cab, so we focus on the things that actually matter: a driver who reports on time, a car that fits your bags, and a coordinator you can call at three in the morning if something changes. Share your flight details on WhatsApp at +91 99725 37722 and we will confirm the plan in writing.

Highlights on the way

  • Reporting time planned around your flight, domestic or international
  • Drivers choose between NICE Road bypass and the Hebbal route on live traffic
  • No forest or night restrictions on this route, so early flights are easy
  • Luggage-friendly options from Dzire to Innova Crysta
  • Pickup from Mysore city, Nanjangud, Srirangapatna or Mandya on request

Mysore to Bangalore Airport cab: frequently asked questions

How many hours before my flight should the cab pick me up in Mysore?

Plan on five and a half to six hours for domestic flights and about seven hours for international flights. Our coordinator will suggest an exact time once you share your flight number.

Is there an extra charge for entering the airport?

The airport levies entry and parking charges on vehicles, and these are usually added at actuals along with the expressway tolls. Your quote will mention what is included.

Can you pick me up from Bangalore Airport and drop me in Mysore?

Yes. Share your flight number and the driver will time his arrival accordingly and meet you in the arrivals pick-up area. Allow for baggage claim time when you plan the rest of your day.

Which car is best for an airport trip with four suitcases?

An Innova, Innova Crysta or Ertiga is the safest choice for four large suitcases with four passengers. A sedan works for two travellers with two large bags.

Do you run Mysore to Bangalore Airport trips at night?

Yes, round the clock. Night trips for early morning flights are among our most common bookings on this route, and there are no forest checkposts or night bans on the way.
