Our Coorg to Bangalore cab takes you from Madikeri back to the city in about 5.5–6.5 hours, a distance of roughly 265 km. The route follows NH275 through Kushalnagar and Hunsur, skirts Mysore and joins the Bangalore–Mysore access-controlled expressway for a quick final run. It is the most popular way to end a Coorg holiday, with drops anywhere in Bangalore including Kempegowda International Airport.

One-way fares include fuel and driver allowance (minimum 130 km). Round-trip fares are for the same car returning to Coorg, billed at the round-trip rate with a daily minimum. Tolls, parking and interstate permits are extra where they apply. Tempo Travellers, Urbania and mini buses are available for round trips.
The drive starts with a gentle descent through coffee estates to Kushalnagar and Bylakuppe. After Periyapatna and Hunsur, drivers either pass through Mysore's ring road or take the Bilikere link towards Srirangapatna, then join the expressway. The expressway bypasses Mandya, Maddur, Channapatna and Ramanagara, cutting travel time significantly compared with the old highway. Traffic picks up again at the Kengeri end, so the final stretch into central or north Bangalore, or out to the airport at Devanahalli, depends heavily on the time of day.
Southern Karnataka has mild weather for most of the year. Monsoon showers from June to September rarely stop traffic on the Coorg–Bangalore road, while winter (October to February) brings cool mornings that are ideal for sightseeing on the way. Weekend and festival traffic is the main thing to plan around.
Returning from a holiday usually means more luggage, so an Ertiga or Innova is a comfortable choice for families. Sedans such as the Swift Dzire and Toyota Etios suit couples and small families heading to Bangalore, while the Ertiga, Innova and Innova Crysta give extra legroom and boot space. Larger parties can book a Tempo Traveller 12+1, Force Urbania 16+1 or mini bus.
