Our Tirupati to Mysore cab covers about 395 km in 7.5–8.5 hours, linking two of South India's great temple and heritage centres. The route follows NH75 via Chittoor and Kolar to Bangalore's eastern edge, then uses the ring roads to reach the Bangalore–Mysore expressway. It is a convenient one-way option for pilgrims continuing a South India tour from Tirumala to Mysore and Chamundi Hills.

One-way fares include fuel and driver allowance (minimum 130 km). Round-trip fares are for the same car returning to Tirupati, billed at the round-trip rate with a daily minimum. Tolls, parking and interstate permits are extra where they apply. Tempo Travellers, Urbania and mini buses are available for round trips.
Leaving Tirupati via Chandragiri and Chittoor, the road climbs onto the plateau at Palamaner and enters Karnataka near Mulbagal. After Kolar and Hoskote, drivers take the outer ring road or NICE road around Bangalore to Kengeri, avoiding the city centre where possible. The expressway then runs past Ramanagara, Channapatna, Maddur and Mandya to Srirangapatna and Mysore. The Bangalore crossing is the biggest variable in timing, so an early start from Tirupati is recommended to clear it before the evening peak.
This is a comfortable drive in almost any season. Expect afternoon showers in the monsoon and pleasant, clear days from October to February. Friday evenings, Monday mornings and festival weekends are the busiest times around Mysore, so pick an off-peak slot if your plans are flexible.
For eight hours on the road, an Innova or Innova Crysta is the most comfortable choice for pilgrim families. Choose a Swift Dzire or Etios for light luggage and up to four travellers, an Ertiga or Innova for six to seven, or an Innova Crysta when you want the most comfortable ride over 395 km. Tempo Travellers, the Force Urbania and mini buses cover group trips.
